Open Days – Get to know the DYPA Schools: On April 20th at Syntagma Square and on April 25th in Lamia

The Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) invites young adults and their parents to the information events for the vocational education and training titled "Open Days – Get to know the DYPA Schools". The events are scheduled for Saturday, April 20th, at Syntagma Square from 10:00 till 22:00 and Thursday, April 25th at the Lamia Apprenticeship Vocational School (EPAS) (93rd, Stylidos Str., Megali Vrisi) from 10:00 till 18:00.

With the end goal to highlight the numerous and significant professional opportunities and perspectives technical education has to offer, DYPA invests at the strengthening of the study programmes/ curricula as well as the upgrade of the laboratories of the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS) and the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK). In the context of the European Year of Skills DYPA also extends these get-to-know events between the public and the Vocational Training and Education Schools operating throughout Greece.

At the Athens Open Day visitors will experience something different because for the first time a specially designed area is created at the most central point of Greece's capital, where students and teaching staff will present in a festive atmosphere several of the fields of study/specialties of the Apprenticeship Vocational Schools (EPAS) and the Higher Vocational Training Schools (SAEK) in Attica.

At the Lamia Open Day, both the EPAS and SAEK welcome for the first time the public into their facilities. Visitors will enjoy music and street food and will have the opportunity to communicate with our educational communities and have guided tours to the laboratories and the Schools.

"Open Days – Get to know the DYPA Schools" events offer visitors the opportunity to learn more about the free educational programmes, the fields of study/ specialties and the philosophy of the EPAS dual system, to receive information about their activities, the awards won at European and national level, the international partnerships and the rest of the Schools' initiatives as well as to discover the potential professional perspectives after graduation.
