Anti-fraud strategy in the actions of the Recovery and Resilience Facility

  • The Special Recovery Fund Coordination Service (EFSTA) of the Ministry of Finance is responsible for the stablishment of a Strategy to combat corruption and fraud during the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Facility Actions. The Strategy sets specific objectives and has a 2-year horizon.

    The overall objective of the anti-fraud strategy for the European Commission is to improve the prevention, detection and investigation of fraud cases, as well as to ensure adequate redress and deterrence through in proportionate and dissuasive sanctions, and the application of fair procedures, in particular by establishing anti-fraud strategies at the level of Commission Services and Member States, which respect and clarify the different responsibilities of the various stakeholders.
