New entrepreneurship programme for 1,900 beneficiaries aged 30-55 with particular emphasis on the digital economy

OBJECTIVE

The measure is aimed at providing support to new businesses established since 01/01/2022 by formerly unemployed persons aged 30-55 in the Less Developed Regions and in Regions in Transition. Emphasis will be placed on digital economy businesses.

BENEFICIARIES

New freelancers / entrepreneurs aged 30-55 – unemployed persons registered with DYPA who have created an Individual Action Plan before starting their new business and who:

• have started their new business over the period from 01/01/2022 to 16/10/2023.

• are Greek citizens or citizens of another EU Member State or expatriates entitled to reside and work in Greece or third-country nationals with a residence permit that is valid for at least the duration of the programme.

• have completed their military service or have been legally exempted from it (for male applicants only).

• have created businesses within the eligible Administrative Regions (Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Greece, Ionian Islands, Peloponnese, North Aegean, Crete, Western Macedonia and Central Greece).

DURATION AND SUBSIDY AMOUNTS

The subsidy lasts 12 months, the amount of support for new businesses is 14,800 euros, to pe paid in three installments as follows:

• 1st instalment, amounting to 4,000 euros, after the approval of the funding application

• 2nd instalment, amounting to 5,400 euros, after the end of the first six-month period from the start of the business or from the date all the programme eligibility terms and conditions are fulfilled

• 3rd instalment, amounting to 5,400 euros, after the end of the 2nd six-month period from the start of the business or from the date all the programme eligibility terms and conditions are fulfilled
