Vouchers for books

  • Beneficiaries
      • The programme is addressed to those who

        • have a dependent private-law employment relationship with contributions to the unemployment branch of the unemployment insurance fund of the DYPA
        • unemployed persons registered in the Digital Registry of the DYPA, for a specific period of time.

        The specific conditions of participation of beneficiaries are specified in each programme with the issuance of a relevant KYA

  • Entitled members
        • the natural, legalized or legally recognized or adopted children and generally the children whose beneficiaries have parental responsibility and custody over the age of five (5) years, when they are indirectly insured members of them or of the other parent on the expiration date for the submission of applications
        • the spouses of the beneficiaries, when they are indirectly insured members of them on the expiration date for the submission of applications
  • Bookstores and publishing houses of any legal form  that have a legal license to operate the Program have the right to participate in the Program.
    The prerequisite for participation in the Program is direct access to a computer and a computer scanner as well as to the Internet.

  • The "Book Purchase Voucher" held by the beneficiary citizens and their beneficiary members incorporates a specific economic value and its purpose is to be exchanged exclusively for the purchase of books of all kinds, with the exception of school books of all educational levels (books provided free of charge by the Ministry of Education). The Voucher cannot be used for the purchase of school or other items that may be sold in the stores of the providers.
    The "Book Purchase Voucher" has the form of a unique electronic code for each beneficiary and for each beneficiary member, which is automatically created by the DYPA's Integrated Information System and is reflected with the other details of the beneficiaries – beneficiaries in the "Register of Beneficiaries".

  • Financial Value of Voucher
        • the economic value of the voucher amounts to 25,00 €
        • one voucher can be exchanged for the purchase of more than one book
        • for the purchase of a book, the price of which exceeds the value of a Voucher, the Voucher of the beneficiary and its beneficiary members may be used
        • in the event that the price of the book or books exceeds the amount of the Beneficiary's Voucher or Vouchers and those of his/her beneficiary members, the additional difference must be paid by the Beneficiary himself/herself at the time of purchase of the book
        • if the price of the book or books is lower than the amount of the subsidy of the beneficiary's and the beneficiary's members Vouchers(s), the subsidy paid will correspond to the lower price
  • Voucher Activation
      • To activate the voucher:

        • The provider enters the electronic system for the activation of the DYPA vouchers, identifies the recipient / beneficiary and the voucher based on the code number and updates the relevant fields of the system, filling in all the required information, i.e. the transaction date, the titles of the books, the retail price per book before and after the discount (when required) as well as the number of the retail receipt. The voucher filled with the purchase data is stored in the MIS of DYPA.
        • The voucher of the beneficiaries and their beneficiaries can be activated either in total or at a different time and from a different provider.

        The purchase of the book can be made either with the physical presence of the beneficiary in the store or remotely.

  • Applications for book vouchers with 25% increased value start tomorrow

    Tomorrow, Wednesday, 02.08.2023 at 12:00 noon, the online submission of applications for beneficiaries and providers for the Public Employment Service (PES) Book Purchase Voucher Program for the year 2023 begins. Applications from interested beneficiaries and providers will be due by 06.08.2023 at 23:59.

    The purpose of the program is to provide intellectual workforce development and business support in the book industry. A total of 150,000 cheques worth €25 each, including VAT, will be issued with a budget of €3,750,000.

    With the cheque, which takes the form of a unique electronic code number, beneficiaries and beneficiaries can buy any book they choose from the bookstores and publishers in the Register of Providers at a 10% discount.

    The applications of interested beneficiaries will be submitted exclusively online via gov.gr, at the following address:

    Beneficiaries are:

    • workers with a dependent private-law employment relationship on the closing date for applications or
    • employees who are insured due to a dependent private-law employment relationship in the e-EFKA in their professional category with contributions to the unemployment branch of DYPA, at any time between 01.01.2022 and the day before the deadline for submission of applications or
    • unemployed persons registered in the Digital Register of the DYPA with a continuous period of unemployment of at least three months on the closing date of the application deadline.

     

    The income must not exceed €30,000, except in the case of long-term unemployed persons, who must have an income of up to €16,000 if they are single, €24,000 if they are married, plus €3,000 per child, or €27,000 if they are single parents, plus €3,000 per child after the first.

    Beneficiaries of the scheme are the spouses of the beneficiaries when they are indirectly insured members of the beneficiaries, as well as the children of beneficiaries over the age of five, provided that they are indirectly insured members of themselves or of the other parent.

    The selection of beneficiaries is based on the weighting of specific criteria (disabled persons, single parent, number of children, income) in an objective and transparent manner through the Integrated Information System (IIS) of the DYPA.

    Providers of the programme are bookshops and publishing houses of any legal form, which have a legal licence to operate.

    The applications of the interested providers will be submitted exclusively online through the Single Digital Portal of the Hellenic State gov.gr, at the following address:

    Note that providers who want to apply for multiple branches must have DIPA codes. No supporting documentation is required. In the few instances where supporting documentation is required, it is attached to the online applications.

  • FINAL RESULTS
      • Final Tables of the 2023 DYPA Book Purchase Voucher Program

        Today, Tuesday 29.08.2023, the final lists of beneficiaries, beneficiaries and those excluded from the 2023 book purchase cheque scheme of the DYPA were posted on the website www.dypa.gov.gr

        The programme will start on Friday 01.09.2023 and will end on 31.12.2023. A total of 150,000 cheques worth €25 each, including VAT, have been issued with a budget of €3,750,000 and 696 bookshops and publishing houses are already participating.

        With the cheque, which takes the form of a unique electronic code number, beneficiaries and beneficiaries can buy any book they choose from the bookshops and publishing houses in the register of providers, with the exception of textbooks for all educational levels (books provided free of charge by the Ministry of Education and other public bodies), with a discount of at least 10% on all books (except foreign language books).

      • Provisional tables of the book purchase vouchers program of DYPA

        Today, Thursday, 24 August 2023, the provisional lists of beneficiaries, beneficiaries and excluded persons and the register of providers of the 2023 book purchase voucher scheme of DYPA were posted on the website www.dypa.gov.gr

        The provisional lists of beneficiaries concern 150,000 Vouchers of €25 each, including VAT, with a budget of €3,750,000.

        Beneficiaries who have submitted an application have the right to submit a single objection from today 24.08.2023 at 11:00 until 26.08.2023 at 23:59. The objection must be submitted exclusively online at the following address:

        Beneficiaries who lodge an objection must clearly state the reason for the objection (e.g. incorrect ranking, fulfilment of eligibility requirements, etc.) and substantiate their claims by attaching to their objection by electronic scanning relevant supporting documents-evidence.

        The way in which the fulfilment of the eligibility and award criteria is demonstrated is described in detail in the Public Call (Annex Part 2), which beneficiaries should consult for the correct attachment of supporting documents.

        Objections not submitted electronically will not be examined.

        The programme will be implemented from 01.09.2023 to 31.12.2023. With the Voucher, which is in the form of a unique electronic code number, beneficiaries and beneficiaries can purchase any book they choose from the bookstores and publishers of the register of providers at a 10% discount.

  • Applications for the 2022 Book Purchase Program begin

    On Thursday 18.08.2022 at 12:00, the electronic submission of applications by beneficiaries and providers for the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA) Program for the Granting of Vouchers for the Purchase of Books for the year 2022 begins. Applications of interested beneficiaries and providers will be submitted by 23:59 on 25.08.2022.

    The aim of the program is the intellectual development of the workforce and the support of enterprises in the book sector. A total of 150,000 vouchers worth €20 each, including VAT, will be issued with a budget of €3,000,000.

    With the voucher, which has the form of a unique electronic code number, the recipients and beneficiaries can buy at a 10% discount any book they choose from the bookstores and publishing houses of the Provider Registry.

    The applications of the interested beneficiaries will be submitted exclusively electronically through the Single Digital Portal of the Greek State gov.gr, at the following address:

    Beneficiaries are employees and unemployed, who in the year 2021 collected 50 days:

    • Work in the e-EFKA insurance (formerly IKA – ETAM) or Special Maternity Protection or
    • Unemployment subsidy or
    • Long-term Unemployment Beneficiaries or
    • A Combination of the above

    Beneficiaries are also unemployed registered in the Unemployment Register of DYPA, who have a continuous period of unemployment on the deadline for submitting applications of at least four (4) months.

    Beneficiaries of the program are the spouses of the beneficiaries, when they are indirectly insured members, as well as the children of the beneficiaries over the age of five, provided that they are indirectly insured members of the same or the other parent.

    The selection system is based on the crediting of the beneficiaries based on their income and the order of priority of their application.

    Providers of the program are bookstores and publishing houses of any legal form, which have a legal operating license.

    The applications of the interested providers will be submitted, exclusively electronically through the Single Digital Gateway of the Greek State gov.gr, to the email address:
